The year is 1014 AMW. This is where the campaign officially begins. It is the beginning of the school year for the 66th class. This part of the campaign is centered around a goblin known as Sylge who terrorizes the city. Sylge is no mere pirate, he is empowered by Ymir with dark magical arts and has the perfect reason for why he’s at the forefront. He works off the peoples’ fears and biases. Despite its goal to be a haven for all, Proxsola falls short of this. Hundreds of years ago, residents decided nearly unanimously that goblins should not be allowed to gain passage or residency in the city because of how savage they were believed to be. Years of being pushed further and further away from their ancestral home with the threat of deadly force if they resisted created the goblins that people know today. Sylge uses those stereotypes to intimidate the police and poloticians to be cautious and fearful of him. Sylge kicks off his villain arc by raiding House Rosaluv, the mansion of chemical entrepreneur Jose Rosaluv who was the equivalent of Proxsolan royalty. In the span of a night he successfully raids what Jose boasted was “the most secure house in the world”, rocketing his reputation as a dastardly pirate and the number one wanted criminal in Proxsola. As Sylge keeps the party occupied, Ymir plots to take office, gaining favor with the people before getting exposed in a scandal and for corruption with Jose Rosaluz that land him behind bars. After three years of hell at the academy and conflicts with the neighboring settlements becoming more dire, the pressure of the people releases Ymir from prison early. He plays at being a changed man and wins the ears of the people with his silver tongue and eventually wins the election as Head of Council and makes a fantastic impression in his first year. He helps the Party defeat Sylge, who he knew he’d betray all along, and stages victorious battles against orcs coming from the eastern wastelands. At the night of Graduation, Ymir commends the students and announces there will be a city wide celebration. He orders many soldiers to return home or places them in areas where he falsely claims threats would be. This gives plenty of time for the orc forces to mobilize. He then is able to finalize his second dark ritual which reverses Oxomus’ tempest and allows Croy to invade with ease led by Prince Kendrick.
