Nevora, Croy

Nevora is the southern half of the supercontinent Alrulan. When the humans who were forced to flee Premora arrived in the new world of Alrulan, the god separated the innocent from the guilty. In order to prevent the warmongering humans from corrupting the peaceful humans, the gods caused a great earthquake to divide the new world into two continents separated by a great sea. The gods named the northern half of the new world Amora and the southern half Nevora. They cursed the land of Nevora to become hard and cruel like the humans that lived there. The weather became inhospitable with intense heat and the land became mostly infertile. As the soil became red it was now iron rich. The gods believed these humans had hardened their hearts and likened it to metal surrounding them. Fearing that the Nevorians would try to return to Amora, Oxomus, a god of the sea, created a tempest in the middle of the new Median Sea that spawned a powerful South bound wind, trapping them on their cursed continent.   The Nevorians became savage people, hunting the wild beasts roaming the red hills and in a constant state of conflict. They stayed in this stone age state for four thousand years before discovering the usefulness of their iron rich soil. They began crafting metal tools and weapons and entered an Iron Age when the Hylak merchants arrived on their shores in 4953 GE.
