Fire Swamps

An area of volcanic geysers on the slopes of Eirabur. Superheated water and noxious gas bubble up from underground and erupt in giant plumes of fire and steam. These geysers can erupt without warning and are hot enough to kill instantly. The rock itself is dangerously hot and special equipment is needed to traverse it. The Gorgun's skin is tough enough to withstand the heat and fire and they have no trouble crossing the swamps on their own. For other species, Gorgun guides are highly recommended when attempting to cross the treacherous fields to avoid the most dangerous zones, though the guides sometimes charge an arm and a leg for their services and will take advantage of unsuspecting customers.

Despite the dangers, the swamps are famous for their rejuvinating hotsprings. The warm water soothes any aches or pains, leaving the visitor energized and refreshed.
