The Shets'Doma arrive in Alphatia Disaster is avoided with the Song of Compassion
After years of persecution from their fey and human parents, and having no place to call their own, the half-elves of Westeros were a forgotten people. The twin brothers Ardus and Sudra had seen the coming of the shadow and the maltreatment of the half-elves by the Elenhos and human nations and decided to lead their people to a land where they could begin anew. They heard rumors of the Sea Gypsy boats returning to Westeros after many years of being lost. They rallied their people and marched to the coast but couldn't get the Half-Elves organised fast enough and the Varisians again left without them. Now that the pilgrimage had begun many bridges had been burnt with the Elenhos and humans. The Half-Elves needed a way out of Westeros and found it with a Scion (the first race of Dwarves) who led them in the tunnels of the Dwarves. The Half-Elves with their Dwarf guide traveled through ancient almost unheard of passages that allowed them to pass beneath the great seas to the Isles of Alphatia. Upon arrival, the Half-Elves established homes within the hills and forests around the mountains of the Dwarves. The people named their new village Winya Ostar and began calling themselves the Shets'doma (the forgotten light). The Shets'doma continued to spread out across the island quickly reaching the coast and encountering the cities and society of the Sea Gypsies. The first encounters of the Sea Gypsies by the Shets'doma were angry. The Half-Elves considered this their promised land and yet humans had invaded it. Many feared a return to the mistreatment of Westeros. Conflict looked certain and on the islands, the Shets'doma prepared to go to war with the Sea Gypsies when a strange sound was heard on the wind. A new song, the song of compassion had begun. While no one had claimed to begin the song the Sea Gypsies and many of the Shets'doma understood it, and the war was stopped before it could begin. The brothers met with the Varisian leaders and signed the pact of the islands, a document that gave ownership to any who showed care for the islands. The Sea Gypsies having lost faith in government and permanent cities since the end of the boat tribes left the ownership of the islands land to the Shets'doma and promised to protect its seas from the darkness.
