Elemental Core

Recent advances in thaumaturgic research have allowed artificers to create magical prisons that contain elemental essence.
  At present artificers have managed to collect all of the primary elemental essences. They usually grade the strength of the essence and the rigidity of the prison.
  Artificers are researching how these cores can be used and combined. Some of the known effects:
  Air cores: Can be used to make an object levitate, more powerful cores can even generate small amounts of flying. Earth core: Have been noted to make materials tougher, some have also begun to explore how it can meld and move earth creating new structures. Fire core: Can create an environment of extreme heat, this has mostly been used by crafters to melt and shape metal. Water core: Can generate thrust within the water, can also generate water which has been used to power some mills.
