Ivona Sacrosanct

Ivona is a short and light woman. She has a lithe and petite body. Her skin is pale, almost grayish with no glow or sign of warmth to it.

Ivona has a sharp and beautiful face.

Ivona has medium long hair with some white in it which she got during her 25 year torture.

Ivona wears well crafted leather armor with some more reinforced parts, it was also enchanted for better protection.

Ivona was trained to wield short swords and daggers, she also specialized in poisons, but wasn't very skilled at crafting them, just applying them.

Ivona was born in A4 600 to a young couple in Revendell. Her life was very normal as she was raised alongside her older brother Lendar who she admired. Her upbringing wasn't anything special, but she and her brother grew up in a middle class family. Her life seemed normal until she turned 13 when she began to have weird urges for blood while also growing sharper teeth and gaining increases awareness and strength. She hid it as well as she could from her parents as she was confused about what was happening, but her parents would become more and more worried about her daughter, which made them go to many priests and physicians within the city, none of which could answer their confusion. Their searching for help however led them to a woman who said she could help their daughter. This woman showed herself to be Valerica Sacrosanct a powerful vampire, who was also the woman who had bitten Ivona's mother while she was pregnant and had come to collect her daughter. Valerica killed both of Ivona's parents and her brother in front of her and took her with her.   Ivona was quickly taken away from everything she knew in life and taken as a prisoner by Valerica. She would be introduced to her "sisters" Raveeka Sacrosanct and Draguta Sacrosanct. They would teach her how to fight, seduce and how to use her dhampire abilities and how life would change for her once she turned 20 and would be turned into a proper vampire by their mother. Ivona hated her new found family and was disgusted by what she was, she would be forced to learn to drink only blood to sustain herself, even though she had not yet turned into a proper vampire and she was beaten every time she failed, spoke out of line or when her sister Draguta felt for it. The seven years of being broken both physically and mentally by the Sacrosancts worked eventually and she became more and more numb from their abuse. She also learned that she was treated this way as they had recently lost a sister who had tried to assassinate Valerica, and they believed they had not been cruel enough towards Melita so they made sure to take it out on her.   Ivona had become quite good with swords and daggers by the time she was 20 and was turned into a proper vampire by Valerica, but she had failed at pretty much everything else. She had no charisma or confidence like Raveeka, and her physical strength was the weakest of any daughter Valerica had ever had. She was, however, useful enough for Valerica to keep around and she was used as an assassin by her to hunt down traitors to the Sacrosanct Matriarchy or those who had either seen acts performed by the Matriarchy they should not have or people who were in their way or incorruptible. Ivona felt bad for each person she had to kill, even those who fought back, and always tried to give them a clean death. She also didn't feed on people unless Valerica demanded her to do it, which kept her weak and stopped her from progressing her vampire powers.   Ivona's life was almost like a numb state of existence where she did the bidding of her family with no real emotion nor attachment. This would, however change in A4 623 when she was tasked to track down a dhampire child of Valerica who she had deemed unworthy of becoming part of her Nightguard which was her personal army of male dhampires. She had killed many failed Nightguards in her three years as most were too weak for Valerica. The one she had been tasked to kill was apparently much more powerful than the other dhampires she had faced, and her mother sent her away with a grin on her face which Ivona interpreted as her mother believing this to be a suicide mission. Ivona didn't want to die, even though her life was miserable, and most of her previous targets had been no challenge, so a spark of excitement was almost impossible for her to hide when she was given this target, even though it made her feel horrible. Tracking the dhampire was difficult, but she eventually caught up to him while he was sitting around a campfire by himself. Ivona became paranoid as he was described to be a powerful foe, but he seemed too comfortable. She began to think that he already knew where she was, but it didn't stop her from sneaking up on him and putting her knife to his throat. Her hand was shaking as it usually did when she was close to finishing her targets, but as she was about to strike the dhampire asked if she had come to kill him or to take him to Valerica. She didn't understand what he was playing at and impishly replied to kill him, but he gently asked why she hadn't already done so. This situation was different from every other kill she had made, as they were either dead before they could talk back to her or they were fighting back, which made it easier. She didn't reply to his remark, but instead dropped the dagger and stood there paralyzed for what felt like hours, before the dhampire asked her if she wanted a seat around the campfire. Ivona felt beaten by him, even though he had never raised a weapon, his hand or even his voice. She ended up sitting down next to him and he told her his name was Corwyn. They began to talk and Ivona revealed everything Valerica had told her about him and that they were attempting to return Axindal back to life, or at least that was what she believed her mother to be doing. Corwyn asked much about Ivona and what she wanted with her life, and his warm and caring tone was something Ivona hadn't felt in a decade since her family and brother had died. She became excited for her future for once, but also knew that she couldn't leave with him now, she needed to deceive her mother that she had killed him, in order for her to join him, by faking her own death on the next assignment she was given. Corwyn believed it to be a dangerous task, but Ivona was sure she could deceive her mother and escape with Corwyn. She planned on meeting him at the same spot four months later, and he agreed.   Ivona returned to her mother to report her success with the dhampire, but she instantly saw through her deception, stating that she could never have beaten him. Ivona feared her mother's judgment, but the punishment she would undergo was one she could never have predicted. Valerica stabbed her in the chest with a stake, missing her heart by an inch and throwing her into a coffin which was quickly locked and buried. Ivona wasn't killed but in a horrible state of wakeful paralysis, in which she could not move, but felt the constant pain of the stake in her chest. This horrible state lasted for longer than she had been alive, each day, week, month and year being more and more painful to a point where she had begged each god, devil or demon she knew off to kill her instead of letting her continue her hellish existence, but nothing came for her. This state of torture lasted for 25 years, until she was brought back by Valerica who now had use for her once again. She was given the same tasks as before, but she was also told that they were so close to their goal and she would play a part if she showed loyalty again. After what Ivona had been through she was not herself, she wasn't even sure if she was a person anymore. She felt nothing, physically or emotionally. In what had been a numb state of existence before she had met Corwyn was now not an existence at all, she was a passenger in her body. She continued her mother's tasks, now without hesitation. The mercy she once had for her victims had vanished and she would do whatever it took to kill them. She felt nothing for them, or herself, but there was a small spark of hope within her, that one day she would be killed in battle to end her existence.   In A4 652 she had been awake for four years in her state of nothingness when Valerica had most of her assets moved to the Tomb of Kings in Theseria where she had plans of returning Axindal to life. Ivona didn't know anything about their plans except the goal and was stationed within the inner sanctum of the tomb with her family. They had prepared much without her knowing, including kidnapping many women from Theseria to serve as a meal for Axindal upon his return. The ritual to bring him back was long, but when it was close to finishing, they were interrupted by a group of adventurers, including Corwyn. He seemed shocked to see her, but she didn't feel anything even when she recognized him. She was tasked to kill them so that was what she focused on. She landed strike after strike on her brother, but he didn't retaliate with weapons, just words. Words which attempted to cut through to the Ivona she had been when they first met. His words were not empty, but they felt so for her. Ivona wanted to feel the warmth of his words and the care he had shown him once before, but right before she was able to truly feel that compassion, he was disintegrated right in front of her by her sister Raveeka, who almost looked as surprised as Ivona in that moment. The shock and horror of her brother being so ruthlessly taken from her made her wake up enough to try to fight back against her mother, but she was quickly disposed off herself as Axindal returned to life and her mother's scheme had come to fruition. She hadn't planned to bring him back to worship him, but instead to take his powers for herself, and with that newfound power she killed Ivona. This was the first time Ivona had died as a vampire, she wasn't truly gone, but rather a mist. She was weightless and drifting away. She knew that she had to quickly return to her coffin or permanently die, but in this unbound form she felt the desire for freedom and nothingness. Her consciousness was slitting away from her and her desire for it all to end was almost too overwhelming, but she managed to make it to her coffin, not because of her own willingness to live, but in the hope that Corwyn's sacrifice meant she could.   She returned to the flesh a day after she had been killed by her mother, and quickly tracked the adventurers back to Theseria where she was surprised and overwhelmed by joy to see her brother miraculously alive. He had been brought back to life, but the powers of a wish spell which the adventurers had recovered from Valerica after they had killed her and her other daughters. Ivona didn't know what to do except cry for her reunion with her brother, who promised her a future together. He took her with her to Fylhalon as he was a venthir, where she would live with him and get to spend each day with both him, his friends and Relia Sacrosanct who was a young dhampire who was supposed to be Ivona's replacement, but was never corrupted by Valerica, which gave her the opportunity to have a real brother and sister.
