Arlothar Rothwell

Arlothar was a very tall and handsome elf

Arlothar Rothwell was the only child of his father Avendar Recaizorinn who in his time was a legendary warrior and a Dominion Honor Guard to Rylaxian The Great. After Dürthang, Avendar was a broken man, both physically and mentally as his left arm had been chopped off and he had been cursed by Gratzius the demon lord of Decay which made him weaker as each decade passed. He spent the next centuries of his life wandering the continent, the first decades were filled with him trying to help the world by defeating the remnants of demons, but he found himself weak and mostly a burden to those he fought alongside. He would become less and less active, but he would find love later in his life and have one child, Arlother. The love of his wife Elincia and his child was not enough to keep Avendar going, and in A4 250 he took his own life, which would forever scar Arlother and his mother.   Even with the death of his father, Arlothar was a very driven man. He was raised in Evlora, surrounded by only a few elves, which led him to live his life much more ambitiously. Arlothar would sell his father's armor and sword from his time as a warrior to fund his own education. Arlothar became quite skilled at economics and would be tutored by a trugarian trading company captain which would lead to him getting a job as part of the TTC. He would work for the company for many decades and he himself would become a captain within the company. Arlothar had saved up an incredible amount of gold by the time the company would take part in funding a new city within the empire, Cullfield. He would aid the company in the economic section, but he would also invest almost all of his own money into the town, which ended up securing him a large area of the western territory and much of the income of the businesses within the city which he had invested in. This gamble paid off as Arlothar would become one of the richest people in the empire in the following century. He was also raised to nobility, which caused him to change his last name to Rothwell, as he tried to blend more and more into the culture of the empire, instead of his elven heritage.   As Arlothar's wealth increased, his fondness for magical items would grow. He had come to regret selling his father's equipment so long ago, but luckily for him, he would be able to find the descendants of its buyer and buy it back. He would also begin buying other artifacts and magical items from Dürthang as he had become quite the historian on the calamity in his free time. This would lead him down a path of networking which would stretch across the continent and over decades, planes. He would make contact with the City of Brass, and specifically the noble efreet Zaahirl al-Tawali el-Rassul. The two would grow a very efficient and rich partnership, which started when Arlothar was contracted to keep the devil lord Brachnis imprisoned on the prime plane to avoid suspicion. This was no easy task, but with the help of Zaahirl al-Tawali el-Rassul he managed to build a very intricate dungeon in his basement.   Arlothar also ended up marrying an elven woman named Tirinia, who he would have a son with, Aithlin. Aithlin would grow up to learn how to deal with extraplanar creatures and their ways much like Arlothar had learned and he would become his partner in these events. Arlothar's wealth and influence continued to grow until A4 545 where he mysteriously disappeared. No trace of him was ever found, some who knew of his deals believe he had overstepped in his relations with these extraplanar beings, while many believed his son had killed him in order to gain his inheritance many centuries before he would. No matter, his fate is unknown.
