Scroll Sending Rings
Description
A small double scroll clasp made of two rings that form a figure 8. Created quite recently by Leonard of Dorn for ease of document based communications.
"There something about paper, it doesn't flit about changing on a whim like the memory does."
It's made of an obsidian like material that glows softly in the night. In one side there sits a scroll. When you remove it a soft popping noise announces another missive as it materializes in the empty ring. Words are carved on each side. On the side holding a missive it reads receiveth. On the empty side, the word sendeth. When you place a scroll in the empty side you watch as it fades from existence in mere seconds. Traveling to the shared sister of your Scroll Sending Rings.
Function
"I don't know if it'll work on other across the various planes. But it still is a nifty thing."
The rings serve as a means of communication between a paired set of Scroll rings.
Placing a scroll or parchment in the "Sendeth" ring transports the scroll to the sisters "Receiveth" ring.
The "Receiveth" ring will hold only one message at a time. If there are more, another will pop into its place once the first is removed.
Kildraks Discovery
Kildrak sits down in his room. Taking a moment to breath and unpack some things before he tackles the rest of the day. As he is lifting items out of his pack he finds a curious set of rings. One holding a scroll within.
When he removes 1st scroll, with a soft popping noise another appears in its place. The 1st scroll reads:
"Kildrak, I took the liberty of stashing this in your pack. A new invention of mine I want you to try out. Make sure to keep me updated on your progress. - Leo"
You grab the 2nd scroll, with a pop another appers in its place. The 2nd scroll reads:
"Write me back to let me know its works, the suspense is killing me. - Leo"
Grabbing the 3rd scroll another pops into its place. The 3rd scroll is more hastily written.
"Damnit boy. I thought you'd find this sooner. I know you can be oblivious at times but by the gods man. What kind of traveler never searches his pack? - Leo"
You grab the 4th scroll. No others pop into its place.
"Damnit boy, you better be dead or dying on the side of the road. Or I'll make sure you are. - Leo"
You obtain a Scroll Sending Rings.
