Mortal History
In the desert city of Ashtaris, women had lost their rights for centuries: deprived of magic, reduced to secondary roles, they lived in the shadow of men. Saersa, the wife of a tavern‑keeper, seemed destined for an unremarkable life. Yet in truth, it was she who ran the establishment: she planned, organized, and drew more and more patrons each evening.
When the tavern was chosen to host a festival, her husband received all the honors, but it was Saersa who had designed every detail. The success was such that, little by little, she became the soul of all the city’s celebrations—though her name remained unspoken.
Rumors spread: Equilibrus was seeking to raise new demigods, one to embody Festivity, the other Strategy. The city of Ashtaris then organized a grand festival, inviting its generals and notables to impress the god. All believed the choice would be obvious: a powerful man, a warlord, or perhaps the tavern‑keeper himself.
But at midnight, when Equilibrus appeared, he chose neither general nor notable. He pointed to Saersa, the unseen woman behind Ashtaris’ triumphs. The men were outraged, and the perfect festival turned into a riot. But Saersa smiled: at last, she had won her place.
Divine Ascension
Raised up by Equilibrus, Saersa became the minor goddess of Festivity and Strategy. She embodies the truth that joy and cunning can be weapons as powerful as steel. Her faithful say she inspires leaders who unite their troops through banquets and songs, and that she guides women and the oppressed who turn their invisibility into strength.
It is said that in the deserts, when a feast erupts despite misery, or when an army triumphs through cunning rather than blood, it is Saersa’s shadow that dances in the dust.
