Mortal History
In the lands of the gnomish geysers, the early days were marked by internal conflicts. Though rarely brutal, the gnomes tore themselves apart in political struggles and clan quarrels. It was in this context that Waerda ascended the throne of the Giant‑Flower Gnomes, succeeding her mother, who had been deposed for rendering judgments deemed unjust.
Unlike her, Waerda quickly gained the reputation of being one of the most upright and impartial gnomes of her time. Each day, she received the complaints and petitions of her people, and she strove to deliver balanced decisions, always seeking to soothe tensions rather than inflame them.
Her renown grew so swiftly that gnomes from other realms began to travel to her court to ask her to settle their disputes. She became a figure of wisdom and stability, a queen whose voice carried more weight than the laws themselves.
Divine Ascension
At her death, the gnomes mourned the loss of their queen, but their fervor did not fade. The tales of her fair judgments and her integrity spread, and little by little, Waerda was venerated as a minor goddess.
Today, she embodies impartial justice and obedience to just laws. Her faithful say she lends her ear to judges, kings, and even humble mediators, inspiring equitable decisions. In courts, it is common to place a flower or a small balance in her honor, as a reminder that justice must be guided by integrity, not by passion.
