  Taerik’s life began in tragedy. His parents’ constant fighting poisoned his childhood. He never knew peace, only schemes and cruelty. From them, he learned how to instill discord, how to twist words and actions to make others miserable.
  Though damaged, he remained sane—until the day his father murdered his mother before his eyes. That moment shattered him. He became consumed by madness and hatred, turning his learned skills into weapons.
  At first, his crimes were small: breaking unions, sowing distrust, convincing others to steal. But his appetite grew. He became infamous as the most toxic man alive, a corrupter of relationships, a destroyer of trust.
  Unsatisfied, he sought something greater. He began experimenting with apprentices, bending them to his will. Most repented and escaped, but Taerik’s obsession was to turn a good man into a madman. After years of manipulation, he succeeded. He discovered that discord, when pushed far enough, could unravel the mind itself.
  It is said that this act drew the attention of Zimu, god of Chaos, who descended to Almilir and elevated Taerik to godhood.
  Ascension
  Taerik ascended as the minor god of Discord and Madness, a divine corrupter whose whispers can turn allies into enemies and sanity into ruin. Though his rise was feared, many were relieved to see him vanish from mortal life, his toxic presence finally gone.
