Mortal Story
Quaerlik was born among the half‑giants of the cosmos, a people forging kingdoms along the bay. From youth, he proved unmatched in combat. He won battles single‑handedly, earning renown as the greatest warrior of his age. Yet victory brought him no joy. Each foe he slew he called “brother,” and he sought to honor their deaths by compensating their families.
When peace came, Quaerlik abandoned war. As his people expanded into the mountains, he turned his strength against the monsters that lurked there. Alone, he hunted for days, bringing back trophies to protect his kin.
On one such hunt, he saved an air elf from a monstrous bear. This was Faelgar, whose curiosity and love of stories rekindled Quaerlik’s own. Though haunted by memories of war, the half‑giant found solace in Faelgar’s songs. Together, they roamed the world, hunting beasts and demons, leaving behind legends wherever they went.
Ascension
It is unclear when their mortal lives ended, but their bond endured into divinity. Faelgar became the god of Legend and Memory, while Quaerlik ascended as the god of Adventure, Demons, and Mythical Creatures.
Though their spheres diverged—Faelgar preserving stories, Quaerlik creating them—they remain inseparable, two halves of the same mythic cycle. Quaerlik embodies the thrill and peril of venturing into the unknown, the eternal struggle against monsters both real and symbolic.
