God, minor : Lilwen, Retribution and Mercy
Lilwen
Minor God
Moon: Golden
Domains: Retribution and Mercy
Symbol: Dove with broken chain
Mortal History Lilwen was born into a modest family of artisans. Her father, falsely accused by a corrupt lord, was executed publicly. This event marked her heart forever: she swore to avenge her father and to bring down those who abused their power. She hunted the guilty one by one. Some fell beneath her blade, others were exposed publicly through her revelations. Yet Lilwen never killed the innocent: she always distinguished the truly guilty from those who had acted only out of fear or ignorance. Her vengeance was relentless, but her mercy was real. Her life was a long march between anger and compassion. She became a living legend, a justiciar adored by the oppressed and feared by tyrants.
Divine Ascension At her death, her faithful were countless: artisans, peasants, soldiers—all those who had seen in her a protector and a bringer of justice. Their fervor raised her to the rank of a minor goddess. Immortal, Lilwen now embodies vengeful justice tempered by compassion. Her faithful say she appears in the dreams of the oppressed, offering either the strength to forgive or the courage to strike. She teaches that retribution is necessary, but that it must always be guided by mercy—otherwise it becomes cruelty.
