Gaork

Minor God

  Moon: Stardust
  Domains: Spirit and Planning
Symbol: A labyrinth carved into bone
  Mortal Story
Gaork was born among the minotaurs, a people divided between those who sought dignity and those who embraced brutality. While Zolreg rose as a paragon of honor, Gaork chose another path. He believed that strength alone was not enough—that true power lay in spirit and strategy, in bending both the living and the dead to one’s will.
When the minotaurs debated their future, Gaork led a faction away from Zolreg’s followers. His tribe turned their gaze toward the Malroetan Empire, a vast human realm. Gaork saw in them not only enemies, but pawns. He studied their armies, their politics, their weaknesses. He whispered to his warriors that the humans’ spirits could be broken, their faith twisted, their leaders manipulated into ruin.
In battle, Gaork was not the strongest fighter, but the most dangerous mind. He orchestrated ambushes, feints, and long campaigns of attrition. He was said to commune with the spirits of fallen warriors, binding them into his plans, using their whispers to anticipate the moves of his foes.

  Ascension
As the war against the Malroetan Empire dragged on, Gaork’s reputation grew. To his tribe, he was not just a chieftain but a prophet of strategy, a master of both the living and the dead. His enemies feared him as a shadow in the labyrinth—always watching, always planning, always one step ahead.
When he died, his people claimed that his spirit never left them. Instead, it lingered, guiding their hands, whispering their strategies. Over time, reverence turned to worship, and Gaork ascended as the minor god of Spirit and Planning.
