Mortal History
Gaolric was born in a small coastal city, the son of a fisherman and a weaver. From childhood, he revealed a singular gift: he could transform the sounds of daily life—the wind in the sails, the lapping of the waves, the creaking of the nets—into melodies that moved all who listened.
But Gaolric was not only a musician: he sculpted, painted, and wrote. Every work he created seemed to contain a fragment of the world’s soul. His songs consoled the grieving, his frescoes inspired warriors before battle, and his plays made rulers reflect upon their duty.
One day, while his city was under siege, Gaolric climbed the ramparts with his lyre. Rather than take up arms, he sang. His voice resounded so powerfully that the assailants, shaken to their core, laid down their weapons and asked for peace. This episode made him a living legend.
Divine Ascension
At his death, peoples of every origin—sailors, peasants, nobles, artists—gathered to sing his works. Their fervor was so great that Gaolric was raised to the rank of a minor god.
Today, he embodies the power of art and music to unite, console, and inspire. His faithful say that when a song soothes a quarrel, or when a painting draws tears from a spectator, it is Gaolric who has breathed into the heart of the artist.
