  Mortal History
In the southern lands of the continent, life was harsh. The deer‑folk beastmen of the great tropical forest had to endure scorching summers and endless winters, dark and freezing. Among them lived Chikisst, a mage of renowned intelligence, yet unsatisfied: what use was his power if his people still suffered from hunger and thirst?
He observed the waters of the forest for a long time, watching them vanish into the earth to nourish the giant trees. One day, he noticed steam rising from a pond. For months, he studied this phenomenon until he understood the invisible cycle of evaporation. For decades, he worked to capture this lost water and redistribute it.
At last, he invented a system of half‑pipes made of wood, enchanted with cold, which condensed the vapor and guided it toward the villages and fields. Thanks to him, his people never lacked water again.
But Chikisst did not stop there. He laid the foundations of agriculture, then created orbs of light capable of capturing the rays of the sun in summer and releasing them during the long winters. His inventions transformed not only the life of his people, but also that of the entire forest and even the neighboring savannas, where new streams sprang forth thanks to his canals.

  Divine Ascension
In his later years, Chikisst was already revered as a sage and benefactor. At his death, the fervor of his faithful raised him to the rank of a minor god.
Today, he embodies the fertility of the fields and the abundance of harvests. His faithful say that when arid land suddenly turns green, or when a crop prospers despite drought, it is the invisible hand of Chikisst that has touched the earth.
