The Claw of the Vile
The long severed claw of the demon Nasfalei'sh'shis was fashioned into this elaborate dagger by the rebellious warlock who turned the monster's power against it.
In the creation of the dagger, the warlock poured the power stolen from their former patron into the dark metal, sealing it in the blade. This act made the blade hunger for the otherworldly substance of its own kind. When it strikes at a demon, it seems to drink in the essence of the evil creature, which each evil outsider slain by the dagger empowering it more.
When found, it compels the wielder to search out demons, evils and other evil creatures from outside of reality, seeking to empower itself, it is not a truly intelligent weapon and doesn't communicate, but the person holding it feels a strong compulsion to go after the weapons prey, the closer they are to evil outsiders, the stronger this compulsion is. If they are in combat with a demon, only the strongest willed would be able to resist attacking the demon in melee with the dagger.
Significance
A magical artefact told of in legend of the warlock who became a demon hunter. Later stories of the dagger tell of many who took up the blade and used it to slay demons, evils and other evil forces that came to this world.
It has not been seen in centuries, its last wielder is said in the legends to have tried to bring it into the demons own realms to strike at the heart of the demonic hordes and was never heard from again but demon after demon took up the powerful weapon and used it to stab one of their own in the back, a process that has been going on for all this time, with each betrayal, the dagger gets stronger.
