Common, the shared language of all mortals, has as many variations as their are cultures. Common is the descendant of the mostly forgotten Jarjos, The language spoken in Island of Mages. This shared language across The Plane of Mortals is because that the Island of the Mages was only bastion of civilization of Mortals after the War in Heaven. When the war subsided the people departed back to their lands and took the language Jarjos with them. Common is now Jarjos with loan words from every other language. The major variations are Western Cant, Southern Cant, Dew Mark, Marken, and Northen Cant
