Branch Noble

The noble houses of Chell are titled as Branch Noble, following the divine mandate that Aethor received from Kon'rel. Branch Nobles are broken up in to two main groups. The Eldergrowth, or those whose bloodlines are traceable to the first 100 years of chell, and the youngshoots or everyone else. The youngshoots are further divided up into Worgalor, or Northern houses, and Zuglar or the Southern houses. The informal higharchy flows from the Eldergrowth, to the Worgalor and down to the Zuglar. Formally the ranks of the nobles are Duke/Duchess, Courth/Courtan, and Wothon/Wothis. Below the Branches are the Twig Noble, distinct in the fact that except for the Twigs ruling in the Trunk Kings personal holdings, no Twig noble reports directly to the King. Of course for some the more powerful Dukes, their Twig nobles might rule over greater holdings then a Wothon.
