Hands of Maia
The Hands of Maia are the local guard in place in the Columns of Maia district. They have no direct ties with any particular religious faction, but try to remain neutral in all matters. They are, however, a very zealous guard who cares greatly for the preservation of the purity and sanctity of the district.
Additionally, their juristiction does extend to the Conflux of Veritamos district, allowing them to pass into there and administer justice.
Most of the time, this faction's main practices include being guards at temples and holy sites, and removing miscreants from the district forcefully.
Because of their neutral affiliation, they will enforce first and foremost the sanctity of the Major Districts, but then as a secondary objective, they will enforce the local laws of each sub-district, deferring to the local laws of those factions. Border desputes often come to their judgements, which take up a portion of their time as well.
