No one knows exactly what forced the humans to leave the green shores of their home and seek refuge across the sea, but the result was the same.

The High Humans of the Green Shores fled their ancestral home after some unknown diaseaster forced them to abandon their cities of Gold. They lost everything that they had built and were forced to rebuild in a totally foreign land. Some of them fled East, including the Emperor and his family; however the majority fled West to the shores of Alesund. This event marked the beginning of an age which would last for the next 1500 years.
