Wythain

Basic Information

Anatomy

Faeries look like humans, but their maximum height is about 5'7" for males and 5'2" for women. They also frequently have pastel-colored skin, colored hair, and/or jewel-tone eyes.

Additional Information

Geographic Origin and Distribution

They're found almost exclusively in Teradel.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Faeries can naturally understand and communicate with sentient wildlife, as well as gather an unusual amount of information from non-sentient wildlife as if listening to it speak.

Civilization and Culture

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

It used to be common for Adain (winged faeries) to take Wythain captive and keep them as slaves, since wingless faeries were considered defective and lesser. As Teradelans came to a better understanding of anatomy, however, and discovered that Wythain are naturally wingless, that practice was forbidden. Despite the legality, there's still some enmity between the two species and Wythain have a tendency to remain withdrawn from society to avoid the judgement of those around them.
