Silver Moon Inn

The Silver Moon Inns are a network of affordable yet comfortable inns and tavern that can be found in all large towns and cities and many of the smaller ones. As a worldwide organization the headquarters are in the Crossroads district of Dagrun. They are the premier instiution in food and lodging throughout Alephon and also provide potage and mail services and a certain degree of banking.

Structure

At the top of the organization is the Matron of Silver, a member of the Sterling Family who serves as administrative leader in Dagrun and administers matters with all governments where there are locations.   Next are the regional administrators, handling the needs of every 10 or so locations that are in a region, who also serve as masters of correspondence, sending mail and small parcels to and from the other regions as needed.   Finally, there is the humble innkeeper, in charge of their particular establishment and passing correspondence and information to their regional admin.   Beyond that, the Silver Moon Inns serve as a safe haven for bards of the College of Blades, who typically use it as an information network as well.

Public Agenda

It is said that in the past, Agatha Sterling believed that in order to be properly considered part of civilization, a place should have a good place to eat, and a good place to rest, and so made it her mission, and her family´s mission to provide that.

History

The Sterling Family records tell of the first Silver Moon Inn, founded by Agatha Sterling sometime in the last years of the Corsian Empire. The original Inn did not survive the collapse and sacking of the imperial capital, and the Sterling family spent many years before the second recorded builiding in what is now Dagrun. As the Sylphereni Empire grew, so did the Sterling Family´s desire to expand on Agatha´s ideal, and so they built another, and another, slowly building their reputation. The second Inn in the old town of Dagrun has long since collapsed, but the newer, larger building in the Crossroads District is now a main hub of trade and hospitality.
