Corsian Empire

The Corsian Empire was the preeminent civilization of the Sixth Age, of which little is known beyond their collapse that brought about the start of the seventh age. Ruins of Corsian architecture have been found throughout Alephon and their reach was such that the corsian language is still in use even 1200 years after the collapse.

Demography and Population

It is known that the empire´s population was primarily human, and many currrent human settlements and cities can trace their origins to the corsians, some examples have been found that would include elves and orcish peoples as well as the hybridizations of all three. The older records of Dwarven civilization show evidence of conflict between the underground folk and the Corsians.   Notably, the beastfolk of Arpago, Nurasti and Inderesh are absent from historical records and illustrations.

Territories

Some ruins of Corsian architecture have been found throughout the world, in varying amounts. Scholars disagree on where the seat of power was located, or if there even was one but two possibilities have been identified: southern Eshathel and Aethoria. Some even theorize that the Corsians were the people who lived in Ekru at a time where it was not a desolate wasteland and were forced out by a series of catastrophies and were not an empire at all but a diaspora, but there is little evidence of this.

Military

The corsians were a people very adept with magic, and some relics of their past still retain their properties. An ancient tomb of an apparently great warrior was unearthed in the early 300´s that contained a sword hilt with no blade, though it was later revealed that this was in fact a historical example of what is now known as a Sunblade. records do not show much evidence of militaries as the primary combative force was magical, making large numbers not necessarily as effective.

Religion

The pantheon of the Sixth age is a more primitive version of that of the Seventh, some gods re not mentioned at all, and others have since gained or lost some of their epithets.
