The forests of Natil

The forests of Natil is a massive taiga forest covering most of the northern side of the Meriman mountain range. Filled with densely packed together trees and sparse floor coverings the large amount of shade makes for an eerie atmosphere. For hundreds of years it has had a reputation for being haunted, and often being paired with the phrase, “ those who go in never come out”. Unfortunately, this phrase tends to be accurate, while no exact number is known over 300 people have reportedly gone missing in these woods. Most of these in recent years have been teenagers and tourists from the nearby city of Natali, and many more from police officers who were sent to look for the missing persons. Because of these incidents signs and fences have been placed all around the forest to insure no people can accidentally stray into the forest, and posters funded by the Natali community are spread in many common tourist sites to warn of the dangers of this forest. The A.C.P ( advanced citizen protection) department has taken to researching the area. Many old overgrown paths have been found, and are suspected to be from when the church of the mosaic used to have it as a holy ground. Better fences are in the future with the goal of them wrapping all the way around and with better security inforced especially at the late hours due to drunkards and peer pressured teens. To minimize lost hikers wandering in, better hiking trails and campsites are being planed as well as tours leading around the outside of the forest to help mitigate curiosity getting the better of them. This forest has been off limits for 78 years and has no current plans to ever open to the public. Only A.C.P personnel and approved staff are allowed to enter anywhere near the forests of Natil.
