Psysians

Psysians, more commonly referred to as parasite kings are a species of fungi like organisms that latch onto mammals. A single parasite king can split into 17 different parts each with the potential to infect any mammal within up to 370 feet from its host. As learned from the Southlake High school incident, hosts were the first victim, and held the true consciousness of the parasite king and once killed all the others it had infected were freed. The method at which a Psysian chooses its host is unknown and seemingly random. A parasite king has never been seen off a host. Signs of an imminent attack start small with flowers typically a mix dark red and purple-blue with three petals and dark stems. The origin of these plants are unknown but seem to have a narcotic effect when in full bloom and supposedly smell similar to Carmel and pine. At this point immediate evacuation is necessary, and the area quarantined until it is deemed safe by a A.C.P (Advanced Citizen Protection) unit. All sightings of this flower should be reported as soon as possible. Locations taken over by a parasite king have been seen to have red and blue spongey moss like coverings along walls and floors in patches as well as strange patterns along the ground spreading throughout the entire territory claimed by the parasite king that glow in an outwards pattern from where living organisms stand on it. It has shown a weakness to fire and gets stronger in damp and wet conditions. In recent years there has seen an uptake in attacks all over the globe, meaning preventative measures and public advisories are becoming necessary. Psysians have been seen in almost all climates year round, only avoiding deserts and other dry climates. Currently, the Alcatraz research and containment facility ( A.R.C.) houses 3 Psysians in classified location. They hope to find ways to alert areas to the presence of Psysians before a quarantine is needed.
