Ritual of the Blood of the Elder Tree

Rite of Blood, sometimes called the Rite of Sap, or the Rite of the Druid, is a ritual that all druids must undergo to gain their magic using abilities. The rite must be performed at a sacred site for the druidic circle one is joining. There, the initiate will consume an elixir of purified water, special herbs, leaves, and the sap of an Elder Tree said to be brewed by a Nymph. The drinker will fall into a catatonic state that can last hours, days, or even weeks. Some do not wake at all. Those that survive wake with their genetic code transformed to access the power to manifest magic, similar to those born with Elf or Dragon heritage.
