Known as wargii bayii on the major continent of Dergonhad, gold dragons are the most elusive of Dragon kind. They are rarely seen, said to dwell around the remote inner great lakes of the continent. Every culture of Dergonhad have legends of these creatures, and the kings and queens who have braved the dangers of the continent's interior to seek a gold dragon's wisdom and power. Many of these cultures also claim a gold dragon aided in the founding of their nation. True or not, it is seen as a foundation of legitimacy for the nations.
For the Dagmon of Dergonhad the gold dragon is the epidemy of justice and honor. It is believed they hide from those they deem unworthy, thus are never seen. The rare people that are graced with an encounter, often find themselves on a quest to promote good in the world. These people found nations or overthrow corrupt kingdoms. Gold dragons are seen as the patrons of the rule of law.
Though native to Dergonhad, legends of these dragons can be found throughout the Dark Hemisphere. The Yin’feri of Uluru claim the dragons make an annual migration to hunt the monsters of Island of Uluru as the Elf do. The two species hunting each other. Dagmon sailors through the ages tell of gold dragons swimming and playing in the waves of the oceans, vanishing into the clouds when if seen. The most persistent story of golds beyond the shores of Dergonhad is that of Ryujou the Jade Emperor. According to the Boon the dragon founded Teikoku, and now slumbers somewhere in Shuto. He wakes in the times of injustice to bring balance to the nation once more.
