The Edict of Toleration, also known as the Freedom of Religion Pact, is an official proclamation of religious tolerance for all faiths within the Republic of Lakorth that was established in the year 5313sc. While this edict covers all religions, it was established due to the concerns of continued persecutions of the Trijan faith in particular. The edict not only proclaimed the right for all to worship any deity of their choosing, but it also protected the faiths, making persecutions a crime. It is the Edict of Toleration that is considered the turning point that would lead to the Trijan faith becoming the sole religion of the Republic, and through it, most of the major continent of Ethae.
