An Errand Boy is a profession that works at Lavandula Palace or later the University. Undertaking small errands around the Palce or University or around Draurough. Career

Career Progression

Often Errand Boys are sons of servants who start at the age of 4 from there they will work until the age of 20 when another servile department may take him in. If an Errand boy is not needed he may be placed in the kitchens or in the laundry. There he may be with his sister, if he has one.   If they are orphaned, and their parents didn't practice a trade, then they report to a Master of Works who can allocate them to work.

Payment & Reimbursement

Payment and Reimbursement is based on the status of the Errand Boy. For example if the boy lives with his parents, or family, he will get a regular wage no more than 4 Horns a day. For those less lucky, that were ophaned they have their pay based on a collection of fees (that are not required) or change on a weekly basis. Meaning that if change or fees are given at a regularly and often enough the Errand Boys get better wages and may get better than their parented peers, this often is not the case.

Other Benefits

With both sides of the profession, whether that be orphaned or parented, are fed and clothed but not necessarily educated. Education is based on the three Rs Reading writing and arithmetic. Orphaned peers are more likely to get a bed to themselves unlike their perented peers who either sleep on the floor or share with others.
