dragon races, mutations, and Titanborn
During the age of ash the races of Albion waged war against the dragons, with divine assistance the last of the dragons were slayed but their bones remained, hoisted as treasure or used as resources for crafting. Their treasure hoards were spit and scattered, their spells and mystical techniques didn't fall into obscurity instead they were studied profusely. Maybe this is the reason their spirits refused to pass on. Eventually the extremely potent draconic energy that still gripped the land began mutating the races of Albion. At first the Soros (all the reptile races such as lizardmen, Yuan Tii, Naga and more) were affected, transforming into more draconic versions of themselves. Then the other races; The races of man, dwarves', halflings, Gnomes, and underfolk began mutating into different races entirely. Creating the dragonborn, humanoids with the visage and breath of dragons. Kobolds, the smaller weaker subservient race but similarly draconic in appearance.
and finally the Dragon touched. They are essentially dragonborn who still retain most of their physical characteristics of their base race before they began mutating. Instead only taking some small aspects of the dragon like their claw, feat, eyes hide or something else. To a dragonborn there is no difference between the two only labels used by the other races eager to put everything in a box and deem they understand it.
Titanborn are a new occurrence. seeming to be a similar phenomenon connecting them to the dead race of primordials called the Titans. All Titanborn have a innate skill with unarmed combat and as they get stronger they manifest the power to grow in size and strike enemies at a distance with fists made of spiritual energy
