Albion is a land of constant change. From the quarrelsome shores of the Sword Coast, to the desolation of the Grey Waste, to the boundless jungles of Sothoryos; ancient empires have been built over top of a dozen times. Advanced arts, both magical and mechanical, have been lost to time. What were once cradles of civilization are now barren wastelands - their rolling hills replaced by windswept plains. Though civilizations blow away like leaves in the wind, they also sprout up like mushrooms after the rain. If the former can be attributed to Fey, and the chaos that comes with nature, the latter can be attributed to the Giants, and the order that comes with the elements. Each one is constantly encroaching upon the other. Though the countless beast races of the continent hold ties to the Fey, they often find themselves having to adapt to the urban communities built by the Humans, Orcs, and Dwarves - often considered related to the Giants - or die. The Elves represent the pinnacle of this synthesis. Many people consider them to be equal parts Man and Fey.
