Farran Michaels
Farran Michaels loves his home - Thebes, in Oxfordshire. Orphaned in 1912, his uncle Cadmus Michaels has done his best to raise Farran to adulthood.
He has a particular knack for Materia, especially working with provenance of magical objects.
Seven Sisters
Farran is a secondary character in Seven Sisters. He seeks out Vivian Porter's assistance to find out why things are going wrong at Thebes. During much of the book, he is attempting to make an apprenticeship to a talisman maker work, but things keep going wrong. Vivian and his uncle help sort out a new apprenticeship at the end of the book.
Goblin Fruit
Farran appears in the opening scene of Goblin Fruit as one of a half-dozen assistants helping Lizzie Penhallow prepare an ancient estate for auction.
Magician's Hoard
In Magician's Hoard, Farran assists with some of the background research about a lost hoard.
Harmonic Pleasure
In Harmonic Pleasure, Farran is truly coming into his own. He's nearing the end of his apprenticeship to one of Albion's most respected auction houses. When he's given the opportunity to spend a few months in London to expand his skills and develop his reputation, he's glad to take it on.
