Cult of Modron
The Cult of Modron is the mystery cult surrounding a Matres worshipped by the Holorusia and some tribes in the South. She is a little-known goddess outside of the temples built in her honour, which serve as "no questions asked" midwifery practices and a refuge for non-citizens.
The organization is very popular among commoners, but not so much the aristocracy. However they are tolerated because of the services they provide, filling a need and allowing the leaders access to their leading medical practices. Although the main headquarters of the Cult of Modron (Walhaz) and the Temple of Nod (Pestilentia) have rarely interacted, these two temples often work together in urban locations due to their similarities. Like other cults of the Matres, they venerate the mineral iron but also have a strong association to wine, from which they develop tartar. They use the tartar salts for piezoelectricity, which can capture ultrasounds for medical imaging. This technology is extremely rare in Albanos, for few areas can grow vineyards aside from Wasse and heavily forested areas
. Their magic is primarily restricted to low magic rather than the more ceremonial properties of larger guilds like the Clockmakers and Guilds of Salt. They can also use iron to bless blood, treat some blood disorders, and perform rudimentary ultrasounds.

History
An old but flourishing remnants of a Piscean Age hospital survived in Waase, where the rising tide had once overtaken the surrounding communities and submerged them for millennia. These were the earliest of the temples of Modron, which were decorated with ancient idols. It is thought 'Modron' was the project name for a past technology or project which referenced a forgotten mother goddess.
Disections and tests perfomed on peat bog bodies, as well as recovered technology from pilgrimidges to Pestilentia, have considerably advanced the abilities of priestesses.
