Fur-Baring Trout
Description
Fur-Bearing Trout resemble non anomalous trout species for the most part. Their bodies however, all but their fins, heads, and tails, are coated with a thick layer of fur. This fur can vary in colours though most commonly appears as water logged beige. Stories have been told of the Fur-Bearing Trout for centuries though their rarity has left them almost entirely undocumented by common science.Morphology
Fur-Bearing Trout appear to be nothing more than non anomalous Trout though bearing a thick layer of fur across their bodies. Fur-Bearing Trout can resemble a variety of non anomalous Trout species. Most instances are around 20 inches long and weigh around 1.2 kilograms. This fur is used by the Trout to provide an additional layer of camouflage. The trout will purposefully brush its way into debris and pollution in order to create a thick camouflage within its fur. Many instances have been found to be growing fresh water dwelling flora. Adult instances will often bare diverse ecosystems of aquatic flora on their coats. This will be used by the Trout to hide within river and lake beds as well as thick flora. Often the fur of the trout will become stained or discoloured in older instances.Growth and Creation
Fur-Bearing Trout seem to be a regularly occurring anomaly that appears 1 in every 900 million trout births. They share a lifecycle identical to that of their non anomalous counterparts. Bearing Trout are born with their Fur and sport it for the remainder of their lives.Trout Fur
The fur of the Trout is able to effectively self clean once it reaches a certain age. After absorbing various chemicals, pigments, and flora into their fur over the course of their lives, Fur-Bearing Trout are able to attain a mutually beneficial relationship. Though instances will often be matted with algae, debris, and countless microscopic sea life the Trout will remain healthy. This is done by the Trout absorbing nutrients from healthy growth upon its Fur. This can allow instances to survive without food for extended periods of time. It should be noted that the Fur of the Bearing Trout is highly poisonous, killing all who ingest it within a matter of hours. This is partially due to the high number of pollutants present within the fur. Furthermore, a chemical present in the fur that helps breakdown nutrients for absorption is highly toxic. This has led to many predators avoiding the already hard to find Trout. The chemical within the trout's fur is considered to be highly anomalous, existing uniquely within the Bearing Trout. This chemical has proven difficult to research however, becoming inactive as soon as the Bearing Trout leaves water.Abilities
Other than its Fur the Bearing Trout is nothing more than a hairy fish. This fur is capable of sustaining small aquatic ecosystems upon its surface. It is able to both provide and intake nutrients from growth within its fur. This poisonous nature of this fur also deters predators, human and animal, from attempting to consume the Trout. The thick Aquatic canopy that forms upon the Trout also gives the entity a level of camouflage. Using this Fur-Bearing Trout are able to hide within the riverbeds and aquatic flora of waterways. It should be noted that Fur-Bearing Trout have proven to be far more hardy than their non anomalous counterparts. Instances have been found to thrive in heavily polluted water. Bearing Trout from these waterways are often highly toxic and capable of causing harm simply by touch.Behaviour and Psychology
Fur-Bearing Trout are almost entirely alike their non anomalous counterparts in both Intelligence and behaviour. The only anomalous behaviour present is shown when they attempt to gather debris and pollutants upon their fur. Bearing-Trout have been observed rolling in lake beds, brushing against aquatic flora, and entering normally toxic areas to absorb various materials into their fur.Habitat & Diet
Fur-Bearing Trout can appear anywhere that non anomalous Trout species thrive. They also subsist on the same diet as their non anomalous cousins, leading to instances seamlessly blending into native populations of Trout. Where Fur-Bearing Trout thrive however is in usually toxic or polluted water ways. Their hardiness allows them to brave even the most acidic of waters in search of food and safety. This has also led to populations remaining hidden under the assumption that new creatures could survive in certain waters. Humanities attitude at creating hazardous waterways has led to a surge in Fur-Bearing Trout populations. Often these populations are able to bleed into non anomalous species, increasing their number further.Combat & Containment
Due to predator avoidance of Fur-Bearing Trout the entity has regularly posed a threat to natural trout populations. With instances occurring naturally it is recommended that agencies embed personnel into wildlife, conservation, and fishing organisations in order to keep a vigilant eye. Fur-Bearing Trout are able to spread pollutants from one water way to another, leading to populations often becoming dangerous to other wildlife. From time to time this has led to populations needing to be culled. This is most often done by Agencies by dredging waterways or simply fishing out as many Bearing Trout as possible. Fur-Bearing Trout only pose a threat to human life if consumed, handled, or misplaced, leading to them being considered only a low security risk. The majority of breaches involving Fur-Bearing Trout result from fishermen and scientists accidentally discovering the creature. Fortunately Fur-Bearing trout have become somewhat popular knowledge leading to most claims being immediately discredited. The want to preserve Fur-Bearing Trout as an anomalous entity is a common argument within Anomalous Security Agencies. It is most commonly found however, that the digestive poison found within the Trouts Fur often warrants containment. In the modern day most Fur-Bearing Trout populations that become hazardous or discovered are easily transported to the preserve.Subspecies and Variants
There are a variety of Fur-Bearing Trout species found throughout our realms waterways.Myths, Legends and Incidents
Most commonly the Fur-Bearing Trout is referenced in fishing magazines and country clubs as rare instances of common Trout. People for centuries have discovered instances of Fur-Bearing Trout time and time again. Fortunately the lack of other instances often leads people to assume said trout is simply a non anomalous aberration.Verified Incidents
