Urdin Finefield (oor-din fahyn-feeld)
"A dream of greatness is meaningless without a greatness inside"The Current Prime Archon and chief of the armies of Initia, Ruler of Four Points, and provisional Lord of Thawl-Alon, Trademore, and Dal-Alon as of 322RW. Born in Hovalside North a part of New Jeloon on the shores of Lake Four Points young Urdin Keal was the son of a fish monger and a governess. An ambitious boy from his youngest memory he loathed his parents and upon their death, in his 11th year, is said to have shed no tears. He benefited greatly from his parents death to food poisoning when his mother's employer adopted the young orphan. Now part of an aristocratic household Urdin was afforded more respect and gained a much better standard of living. When his adoptive brother and sister died in a tandem horse race gone tragically wrong Urdin became sole heir to the Finefield Name and fortune. He used that fortune to great benefit gaining himself notoriety as a man of means and influence. He began as a benevolent guardian to those in debt providing often necessary loans to farmers in need, many of whom had experienced poor harvests. In exchange he'd gain legal title to their farms if the loan was not repaid in a year. When the poor harvests continued those farms became his for mere fractions of their actual worth. He was able to amass an incredible collection of property in this way, and would always retain the families who had previously owned the land as "guests" if they continued to work the fields. Once he acquired ownership Urdin would enact a strategic planting initiative that would improve the crop. His kindness to the families was noticed and gained him great support from the community since past lenders were known for being heartless to the previous owners and rendered them homeless. Urdin provided for these families well and was beloved for it. As his lands grew so did his political power and he was the first person from Hovalside ever elected to the council of 9, New Jeloons ruling body. Parlaying that popularity, his financial superiority, a considerable personal military force, and a near complete control of the food supply; Urdin was able to convince the other council members to recognize his unassailable authority. Urdin was appointed to the Initian Council of Kingdoms and States as the Representative of New Jeloon and upon the next opening to the position of Prime Archon announced his intention to lobby for the position. The Initian Council of Kingdoms and States was not swayed by his military might or deep pockets, it was his sincerity that brought them to select him. His upbringing as a part of two worlds with a desire to more closely align them appealed to the council's own humanitarian urges for their people, people who often suffered under poor leadership. When it came time for selection Urdin was a near unanimous choice with only Dal-Alon's Guiford Nimloth-Thul refusing to vote. As Prime Anarch Urdin Finefield has enacted many programs to feed the hungry and protect the homeless. There are charter houses in most major cities sponsored by the Prime Archon's Fund that serve as halfway houses and reeducation centers for those in need of work. After the Fall of Thawl-Alon Urdin Finefield in his capacity as Prime Archon declared martial law in the city and declared himself as regent as justified by the concord of nations agreement. Similarly after the civil uprisings in Trademore Urdin declared martial Law in that city and declared himself regent as justified by the concord of nations agreement. After the death of the Patriarch of Dal-Alon and the Sleeping Violence plague as it became known Urdin Declared himself Regent as justifiec by the Concord of Nations Agreement.
