Soulforged
A living harmony of magic and steel.
"A shell of wood and steel, a living heart of the arcane. Truly a work of genius."
- Artificer Jeorna
What is a Soulforged?
One of the greatest advancements in the Aetherwork Revolution are the Soulforged (sometimes known as Steelsouled or Warforged), constructs of special alloys of steel and wood from certain trees powered by a refined crystal born of the Infinite Weave. Some artificers treat them like friends, working in tandem with them and constantly improving them, treating them like people. Others treat them like indentured servants, caring not for the vulnerable life they have just brought into the world. A rarer few just let their progeny out into the wider world, letting them explore and live the life they have just been given to the fullest. Soulforged are typically given names by their creators, though those that are free choose to adopt names of those they revere. Soulforged also need not reproduce, and so have no real concept of gender, and as such most of them refer to themselves with the singular "they." Other times, their creators label them with "he" or "she," like how one would label a boat or a car.Soulforged Features
