In the face of the Drekken invasion, alliances are formed. Lines of defense are organized, and gradually the forces of Drekken are slowed. Eventually their mighty campaign is slowed to a series of skirmishes and bloody battles, no less deadly to those involved but at least slowed down to a smaller scale. Talks are attempted with Drekken several times, to varying degrees of success.
