The Offices
Governmental body of Torthuíl
When something is brought up that requires filing or processing in Torthuíl, the Offices takes care of that element of things and directs the necessary information to whatever branch requires it. They have highly guarded city archives under the main square which are under constant surveillance. The Offices also deals with taxes and fines, with a small group of Collectors who are armed in case of disputes.
The current head of the Offices is Veren Saagu. He’s a middle aged orcblood man who’s known for being polished and mannerly, and is also new blood in the higher eschalons of society - at least to the knowledge of most, although those in the know are well aware he’s Deihndhall (the late Governor’s) bastard son. Veren seems to bear no ill will towards the Governor, although he’s not considered closely associated either. He does his job and seems mostly content with his lot… at least, he used to.
