Ökenhadari (oh-KUN-hah-dah-ree, or euh-KUN-hah-dah-ree)

Ökenhadari, meaning "Öken's Wrath" in Ancient Yasamaqi, is a supernatural phenomenon that occurs only in Yasamaq.   When an Ökenhadari starts, thunder peals throughout the tunnels of Yasamaq. At that point, most Yasamaqi make sure to hide or to draw their weapons; wherever the thunder peals, monsters of various kinds are known to suddenly emerge from hidden tunnels or to dig their way through them, viciously attacking anything in the general area.   However, that is not all. The thunder is always accompanied by bolts of lightning that streak through the air, striking any and all objects in their path. Not only is this very dangerous for any living being, there have been reports that some monsters get struck by these bolts of lightning and, instead of being damaged, gain supernaturally enhanced abilities.   These wild storms are as unpredictable and savage as the god that creates them. Some last only a few minutes; others last for an entire day. So far, no Ökenhadari has been known to last for more than twenty-four hours.
