The Tlolam

Tlolam are peaceful forest dwelling creatures. Although they look aggressive they are actually very passive, they welcome visitors to their tree-top villages with open arms.
A tlolams physiology is very different from humans, for starters, they have tails, glowing eyes, extremely long arms, vampire-like teeth, and hands for feet.
A Tlolams tail is very important to them as it helps them to balance and to cling to trees. Tlolam tails can be either feathered or scaled with long, thick, bushy hair at the end.
Hands and feet are also very important to al tlolam as hand-like feet help them run and climb, and sharp claw nails help grip to tree bark. Most tlolam are able to use their feet in everyday tasks such as turnig book pages, some can even master writing with them.
Tlolam have four sharp vampire-like teeth. These are used mostly to intimidate other creatures that try stealing from them, other than that they are used for tearing through tough meats. A tlolams eyes are quite interesting as they glow brighter or darker depending on their mood, for example, if a tlolam is happy their eyes will be incredibly bright but if their sad their eyes will be dull. Tlolam eyes look a lot like cat eyes with a slit-like pupil that can expand and contract with light, they also have a working third eyelid that allows them to see underwater.
Tlolam arms are longer than that of a human for the sole purpose of running and climbing. They are able to both run and walk on all fours but generally just walk on two.

Basic Information

Ecology and Habitats

The Tlolam live in treetop huts made up of wood and leaf paste. Rope bridges stretch between trees, platform to platform, tree to tree. Each platform has something different on it, there are platforms for farms, platforms for meeting areas, platforms for homes, platforms for just about everything.
Tlolam live in clans of 30-40 members. Each member has a job that makes sure that the clan stays running. There are hunters, farmers, healers, teachers and many others but most importantly, the Leader. The leader is in charge of the clan and makes sure that everything runns smoothly and that everyone is happy.

Dietary Needs and Habits

A tlolams diet mainly consists of raw meat that the hunters gather and the vegetables that are grown in their farms.
