Ekarmyt

In Ekarmyt, fiends are larger and more abundant, and take on an inky-black hue that is uncommon in the rest of the skies. Fiends are known to roam through and around Ekar settlements, which makes travelling alone without an instrument very dangerous.

People

Olive skin, tend to be below average height and weight, black hair, black/brown/amber/yellow eyes, black horns of any shape (within reason)
i think i wanna give ekar horns so ekar horns are sometimes black sometimes skin coloured and their skin is olive, going paler the more they skulk in the shadows i think they have that beauty standard of like, paler skin = more time in darkness = HUBBA HUBBA
tattoos are common there, typically in black but sometimes they embed actual gold into their skin.

Fashion

Typically darker outfits with quality depending on class, anything from flowing rags to exquisite suits and dresses. They like to include gold detailing in their outfits. More ceremonial attire can be representative of fiends or gods. Tattoos common. Horn jewellery optional. their outfits tend to be fairly greyscale, hard to find an ekar who opts for colour outside of gold bling, but their gods have colours that represent them (also the northernmost regions of ekarmyt are the darkest)

Sport

Ekarmyt has your more traditional gladiatorial combat, with professional fighters battling in front of a crowd (sometimes against each other, sometimes against fiends) these fights are professional sporting events and typically aren't lethal (but sometimes are, that much is unavoidable)

Religion

Ekarmyt is a rather wealthy democracy, whose people believe in a pantheon of diverse--if unsavoury--deities. The Ekar creation myth follows the idea that, long ago, there existed only purity and light, in a world of sanguine nothingness.
Then, the gods arrived; beings that brought shadows, chaos, and malice, and from their muddying of a once-pure world, humanity was born. The Ekar gods are, for lack of a better term, assholes--and the Ekar recognise this fact--yet they still have cults and followings, with offerings and sacrifices routinely being made to the lightless creators.
The Ekar themselves aren't inherently bad, but they acknowledge humanity's nature as beings of both good and evil, born of a world of light impregnated by malevolent deities. It is said that an Ekar's horns are representative of the god that gave them life, with each deity possessing a unique horn shape.
