Talahaea

Talahaea is a region of Yethera, bounded by the sea to the west, the Goblin Bluffs to the north, the Wall of the World (Great Shield) to the east and the Dustlands and the Great Delta to the south.   At the end of the Regime-Legion War, Talahaea was the last bastion of the Regime in Yethera, perhaps the world, but it had been weakened by the conflict and the High Elves struggled to restore their standing as the Great Ophionic Empire rose in the south to present a new threat.   Human refugees from the fledgling Empire had been integrated into the Regime for centuries, and it was they who began to push the boundaries of accepted arcane teachings in the hope of driving back their former oppressors. A cabal of humans, elves and Gnomes united to fashion new weapons and battle the threats chipping away at the edges of Regime territory, but became in the process the first of the Mage Sovereigns who overthrew the Regime government of Talahaea and established their own rule.   Two thousand years later, this magocracy was overthrown by their own servants, and modern Talahaea is dominated by the Sacred Republic, with the Riverlands to the east and the Drow Coast on the delta in the south.
