Northeast Cladelands
Set in warm, green-blue seas, the north-east islands form a single cluster with two nations. Clouds and rain are rare, but the winds are cool and amicable, seldom still, but more seldom yet dangerous or contrary.
The Bronze Caldera is a vast, volcanic crater, almost a hundred miles across. Too large to be comfortably considered a mountain, the island's walls are cut through with a maze of volcanic tubes and artificial tunnels which house the majority of the bruken of the bronze Dragonborn clade. The capital bruke, Tachis, lies within the crater itself, a city of stone surrounding a steaming, volcanic lake.
The dragonborn of the Caldera make use of the slumbering geothermal energies beneath their bruken for heating, but also to extract flux to power arcane devices. The Caldera is the only one of the islands which obtains most of its income from visitors. Tachis houses the Great Temple of Hrabram, which is a centre of pilgrimage for all Ladonians.
Scattered around the south of the Caldera, the Brass Archipelago consists of numerous rugged islands. Each of the seven largest islands houses one of the bruken of the brass dragonborn clade, in the form of fortified fishing towns. The largest, Cromis on the island of Imir, is the capital of the Archipelago and one of the jewels of Ladonia. Home of Brazen College, Cromis enjoys the benefits of the college's architectural focus, and the Archipelago benefits from Brazen's great lighthouse.
