Vassile Canyon

This canyon stretches on for dozens of miles. Parts are merely feet thick and occasional sections are up to half a mile wide. It has many caves in its walls and occasional offshoots to smaller canyons. But what it's most known for is its beauty.   While the canyon is mostly surrounded by mountains and plains, within is an oasis of natural wonder. A clear sparkling river flows through the center, surrounded by lush greenery. There are plants, flowers in particular, that can be found only here.   The canyon is mostly unsettled. There is a town where the river is at its thickest. And a few hermits have shacks built here and there. The forest and caves of course contain wildlife, in some cases the dangerous kind. But Vassile Canyon is largely known as a peaceful place. People travel here to enjoy its splendor, to harvest rare plants, and to study it.
