The Convulsion Gods

These minor gods are assembled from the collective memory of important historical events, mostly battles. They embody the tactics used, the losses accrued, and the lessons learned throughout the conflict.

Constrictor Serpent in Tangles, god of the Dorsulgard Skirmishes

He's often portrayed as an enormous serpent balled up in an unsolvable knot, but he can also appear as a steel dragonborn, appearing mostly human to human observers, and mostly draconic to dragons.   The Dorsulgard Skirmishes are widely considered to be a tragedy, so Tangles is a god of famine and pestilence. People call him for advice and aid when they're trapped in the crossfire of a war, or when their crops seem likely to fail. Tangles may be partially inspired by Knotinagut, a mostly forgotten Old Vacillian god, who was often invoked when people felt knots in their stomachs due to hunger.   But not everyone sees Tangles in this way. Some extreme factions in Ornity invoke him when a small force needs to take on a much greater opponent by slowly chipping them down. Some dragons use Tangles as a god of vengeance, invoking him while springing a counterattack (or when bluffing--dragon tactics have a frustrating amount of layers).

Biscionedive, god of the Battle of Aevaly

From a distance he resembles a blue dragon, but he was created in honor of the human Biscione family, whose standard led the charge into Aevaly.   Developments - Act II

Imbredive, god of the Battle of Imbre

Dsell Astreant, god of the Battle of Dacrynesus
