The Countess of
Dibril Valley, often called "the demon Ravna" by her subjects. She rules from
Castle Roeyen, overlooking the
Village of Brashov.
Background
According to
Ismark Kolyanovich, Ravna came to his home in Brashov to apologize to his father, Boyar Kolyan Indirovich, for his harsh treatment by her servant,
Rahadin. While visiting, Ravna became interested in Ismark's sister,
Ireena Kolyana and returned to visit several times, ostensibly to see to the girl's health. Kolyan ultimately refused to let her return, prompting Ravna to leave in anger.
Developments
The party encounters Ravna outside
St. Andral's Church, while trying to return the bones of St. Andral to their tomb. Ravna tries to lure Ireena out, but the party locks her in the church. Ravna departs, leaving only an invitation to the party to meet with her at Castle Roeyen.
Afteward, the party learns more about Ravna's history and determines that she is the same person as
Ravna Batrova, and must be several centuries old.
The party later encounters Ravna at
Yester Hill prior to the ritual summoning of a tree blight by the
Terg druids.
The party then encounters Ravna at
Khazan's Tower after killing
Rahadin. Ravna destroys the tower in her rage, though the party is protected by the force cage surrounding the elevator. However, Loken cannot fit and is crushed to death in the collapse, only to be raised from the dead by
Ezmerelda d’Avenir.
