Venus Witch Cults

The Witch Cult of Venus

Venus - "During the Great Crusade, the planet was dominated by War Witches who fielded armies of Litho-Gholem. The early Iron Warriors Space Marine Legion led the conquest of Venus during the ‘Mehr Yasht campaign’."

A Brief summary of …

Unlike the other inner worlds, the mutants and psychics of Venues won their wars of supremacies against the rest of humanity on Venus. As a result, the psychics now rule the planet. The most powerful psychics of venues formed a leading council in order coordinate global defense and some semblance of law (see modern-day UN).   This council is lead by the shadowy The Dark Council; three woman that are the jury and judge of all major maters that keep the balance of power even   Apart from the council keeping major global war at bay, the varies factions fight for power amongst themselves in petty disputes.   The witches use dark sciences to engineer ghastly creatures of burden including servitors out of corpse, golems out of living clay and monsters of unimaginable sizes.   Through their rule, the witches of venues have kept to themselves not wishing to take part in the chaotic system politics.   This turmoil has not stopped them from trading with off-worlders who would sell “luxury” and “religious” goods in exchange for slaves and common food stock and fresh water which the planet has in abundances.   --------------------------------------------------------

The witch family of the Crowe of Pontanx

The Crowe Family of Pontanx live in a large, lavish, estate surrounded by ghostly, overground ruins, forests and swamps. They are the most powerful family in the region. They hold high titles that have no real meanings but parade around like they do. They wear beautiful clothes and jewelry not at all common to those that live under them.   The Crowe family is primarily made up of the Matriarch Martha Crowe at the head, her husband Johnothan Crowe, and their three children Adam, Sinthia, and Brandon. Other members of the family include her father Barrett Crown, her old brother Anon and younger brother Mortimore and their respective families.   The Crowe Matriarch is the most powerful magic user in the family. She has many titles, but most important is that of ruler of Pontanx and priestess to the 3-pointed star.   The Family lay claim to all in their lands, wither it be man, beast or other. There are several small settlement and encampment scattered through the region known as Pontanx. The varies people who live in Pontanx pay regular tribute to the Crowe Family less they feel their terrible rath. These tributes very but include food stuff, craft goods, gold and precious gems and even human slaves.   The Crowe have many slaves in their service. Although a very dangerous occupation, a slave in the employ of a witches’ family can have a much better life than that of a common “free folk” could. The Crowe slaves work in many positions, providing many services for the family. Personal servants, Cooks, gardeners, cleaners and more. All is provided for by the slaves of the family.   One thing not left to the family slaves however was their security. Each witch is a world wind of magical might but as often happens to those in power they wish to allocate their security to others. And so, the Crowe, like in time honored traditions, craft arcane servants out of an unholy merger of science and the a cult. The creations come in all forms but the most common are the great Litho-Gholems. These stone like guardians stand guard motionless until needed. When commanded into action these hulking monsters bring quick death and destruction to all that stand in their way. With their unquestioningly loyal gholems and other monstrous beast, the Crowe keep the Pontanx region and the people in it in check.   The Crowe Family will continue to dominate these lands as long as their magical blood is strong. And so, the Crowe look to distance powerful families for potential breeding matches for their children. Wither its distant relatives or rival families, the Crowe will host lavish banquets for fun and to pursue suitable spouses for their family members. These events might end poorly, but that’s the price to pay in search of a strong family future.   --------------------------------------------     References and brainstorming   Bloodborn, Dishonored, house slytherin, harry potter, Three Witches trope, gothic horror tropes, Vampire knights,   Voodoo, witchcraft. “evil creatures” necromancy.
