Albia

==The Domain of the Unspeakable King==

Name: Albian   Alternate names: New Albia, The Dominion of the Unspeakable King

Brief Summary of the faction:

For much of the warring Techno-barbarian period, the Hordes of the Unspeakable king dominated Terra. The figure of the Unspeakable king, wither they were one figure or many over the millennia, held together his grand regime through a mix of terror, violence, and stability in a world gone mad.   “The Unspeakable King was a terrifying warlord of Terra during the Age of Strife, possibly in M27. The horror of his rule became the subject of legend for generations to come. He was served by the Hollow Ones, an order of pariahs analogous to the Silent Sisterhood, and was according to some legends a powerful psychic null himself. He ruled Albia and defeated the Panpacific Empire, assuming the titles "Magna Albia" and "Archtyrant of Panpacifica".”     Leader(S): Unspeakable King   Leader Titles: Magna Albia, Archtyrant of Panpacific

Territories:

Capital(s): Unknown, it changed over time. Perhaps Lundoniam   Territory or Area of Operation:   At its height the domain of the Unspeakable king ruled over a quarter of the Terra and dominated the rest of the world diplomatically, economically and militarily. Some of main power bases of his domain include; Albia, Albyon, britonnica, thule, Pan-Pacific, Merica.   But his hordes raided and plundered the globe and routinely set up bases throughout the globe for a variety of reasons.

History:

Founding date: Ca. Mid 27M   Dissolution Date: Ca. 29M   Historic write up:   In the aftermath of the Last Earth-Martian War, the global government was in turmoil. Much of the government and its policing forces were destroyed. In this chaos, local warlords emerged across the world. The figure, who would one day be crowned the “Unspeakable King”, would arise and take control of lands of Old Albian.   The forces of the Unspeakable King would raid and pillage the island. In time, taking control of the entire island.   The king's forces in turn began raiding further afield. Neibouring island were outright conquered will the mainland of Europa were raided, pillaged and sack. At this time, Europa still had a semblance of old governance and was able to put of up a unified front. But this was not to last as the centuries continued. With Europa federal government wazed and wavered, local government demanded rights and liberties. During these episodes the king’s forces were able to be exploited the political disunity and invade. These episodes continued back and forth over the millennia. At several point in its history, Europa became so weak and disunified that the Unspeakable King and his horde were able to raid and sacked its federal capitals. Despite these massive defeats, Europa would continue to beat back the Unspeakable Kings forces time and time again. The Europa state would infact survive, albeit to a much lesser degree, till the Unification Wars of the Emperor of Man.   While Europa was always a point of conflict for the Unspeakable king and his Domain, it was not his only one. Even before the oceans began to dry up, the forces of the Unspeakble king were on the move across the globe. One of the first places was in Nord Merica.   Further onward, the Unspeakable King lead a grand army into the Pacific region. The area having been unified into the Pan-Pacific Polity a decade earlier to fight and defeat the Brotherhood of Singularitarianism. It's widely believed that the Unspeakable king wanted the treasure of the Brotherhood for himself and launch his invasion to take them by force. Although unified against an outside force, the Pan-Pacific was depleted of needed war material and was eventually defeated. The Unspeakable king would keep some of the old governments admirative efforts but at large let his people crush any and all opposition to his rule. Many old reginal culture and people were snuffed out in this regard.   Throughout his rule the New Martian calling themselves; “the Mechanicum” invaded Terra in search of ancient artifacts of the Dark Age of Technology. These wars were destructive and costly, with the Martians never trying to properly occupy the planet and leaving after a decade or two of violent struggle.   No one knows what happened to the Unspeakable king. Like so much of him, we don’t have a definitive answer to what happened. All we know is that he disappeared sometime in the 28 Millenia.   The resulting power vacuum from his absence tore apart his Empire and birthed new nations throughout Terra. Uileam the Red, one of his generals and a legend in his own right, held the empire together the longest. He was ultimately defeated by NorAfric army and then later his own men impressed him and gave him to the Emperor of Man.
