The Edge
This shell of Costanite debris surrounding Agaletria marks the edge of the galaxy. No sane people dare venture through this barren wasteland due to Costanite's peculiar properties and the Solfar Raiders who patrol the area for any lost cargo-ships. The abandoned Liminal city which floats around with the asteroids is the only unnatural object in this place. Beyond, there is nothing. It is like the edge of a cliff, where the fall is endless and the light doesn't seem to reach far enough to even make a shadow. If you look beyond, you might see some stars, however they are mainly just waves in the Janosplane. The only physical thing out there, is The Portal. No one knows when something will emerge from it, even the Janosplane is preventing any time travel near it, almost like it is protecting a dark secret it doesn't want people to know.
Geography
This is like the Oort cloud, but instead of surrounding a solar system, it surrounds the galaxy. It is a perfect sphere and the debris is an average of an Earth's width apart from each other. This is quite dense as the average Starship is the size of the Pacific ocean. When viewed from the side (like above), there is a striking contrast between the busy galaxy with all its splendor, and the black emptiness. The Soorlin Sages described it as if you had half your eyes underwater, and the other half above the surface.

Ecosystem
Only two living organisms are found here. Stone grass and void amoeba. Both known for their incredible resilience and ability to adapt. void amoeba are native to The edge, but Stone grass appeared here during the great misplacement. It is assumed that the void amoeba evolved from straying Tardigrades, who adapted to become flat amoeba-like creatures, eating whatever they find.

History
Its origins are unclear. Prehistoric scriptures suggest that the Janosplane created it out of the ruins of an archaic civilization who used Costanite as a main material, and found a way to harness its properties to time travel near The Portal. the Janosplane then sent waves of Terminites to desroy that civilization once it realized that they discovered the very secret it tried to protect. Millions of centuries later, the now-extinct alien race called the Macerlins built their labyrinth-like Liminal city, and thrived there as a bustling grand bazaar, attracting people from the greatest stretches of the galaxy, until the Costanite debris took its toll, and the city was left abandoned. Since then, countless forgotten empires have tried and failed to colonise the area, until the Solfar Raiders discovered Etinastral, a poison which kills yet acts as an immunity to Costanite radiation, and since they are immune to toxins, also found a way to be immune to Costanite.
